About The Position
This position provides care to the patient according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities include safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services. The role also involves performing the duties of an Observer for patients requiring constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize their safety. Additionally, the position performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit and documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record. This role requires a full week of corporate orientation, scheduled Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm, which must be attended consecutively.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support required within 30 days of hire
Nice To Haves
- Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
- Current CNA certification preferred
Responsibilities
