This position is for a Nurse Assistant or Trainee in the Surgical 200 W unit at CoxHealth South. As a Trainee, the role involves functioning within a classroom and clinical learning environment to obtain training as unlicensed assistive personnel. As a Nurse Assistant, the role provides basic patient care under the direction of nursing staff. Both roles involve providing basic patient care, which includes duties such as taking vitals, bathing, dressing, moving patients, changing linens, and other duties within their scope of practice as directed. The position requires obtaining information on patient condition as requested by the nursing staff or clinical educator and reporting any changes. Trainees will undergo a competency assessment at the end of their training.
