About The Position
Bishop Gadsden is seeking a dedicated Medication Technician/Nurse Assistants to join our team in Myers Hall. In this vital role, you’ll ensure residents receive their medications safely and on time, while supporting their overall well-being and dignity.
Requirements
- Completion of a Medication Technician training program with a passing score of 80% or higher.
- At least 18 years of age and in good physical health.
- Strong communication skills and a professional, respectful demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative care team.
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and compassionate care.
Responsibilities
- Administer Medications accurately and promptly, following all safety protocols and facility guidelines.
- Monitor Resident Health and report changes in condition to licensed professionals.
- Maintain Medication Inventory by ordering and tracking prescriptions, including mail-order medications.
- Document Thoroughly in electronic health records (EHR) and report any medication errors or refusals.
- Support Resident Rights by respecting privacy, honoring refusals, and maintaining confidentiality.
- Collaborate with Care Teams and participate in quality improvement initiatives and facility inspections.
- Assist with Daily Living by performing nursing aide duties as needed and contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.
