About The Position

The Helper Bees is seeking an independent contracted nurse to complete face-to-face cognitive and functional assessments in claimants’ homes in the Duluth, Minnesota area. This per-diem opportunity provides supplemental income. Assessors conduct structured assessments, objectively observe and report each individual’s current status, and focus on accuracy and efficiency. The assessor coordinates scheduling with clients or their points of contact, submits each assessment through an online application within 24 hours, and responds to clarification requests from the review team by telephone. An assessment is complete only after all clarifications have been answered. Compensation is $125 per completed assessment within a 35-mile radius.

Requirements

Current registered nurse (RN) license.
At least 5 years of experience as an RN.
Familiarity with a broad range of medications and conditions common in the geriatric population.
Reliable internet for submitting assessments.
Portable computer with Windows or a tablet with a camera.
Current proficiency with computers and ability to learn technology quickly.
Friendly, compassionate, dedicated, and patient personality.
Prompt and thoughtful communication.

Previous quality assurance or chart audit/review experience.
