About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) specializing in General Anesthesia. The role is based in Duluth, MN, within an outpatient service setting. The coverage is clinical only and is needed on a supplemental basis from September 1, 2026, ongoing. The shift schedule includes weekdays (Monday-Friday) with 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts, and weekends (Saturday & Sunday) with 12 or 16-hour shifts. The CRNA will administer anesthesia to patients of all ages (adults, pediatrics, neonates) and will handle an average daily volume of 2 longer cases or 3-4 shorter cases per 8-hour day. The case mix is diverse, including General surgery, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Cardiac, Thoracic, Vascular, Obstetrics, GI, EP, MRI, and CT. The facility is a Level I Trauma center and uses the Epic EMR system. Hospital privileges are required.

• Minnesota RN license required
• CPR, BCLS/ACLS, National Board Certification (CRNA)
• Graduate of accredited school of anesthesia

Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients across all age groups in various settings (OR, Cath lab, GI, EP, MRI, CT).
• Perform general, spinal, regional, and open heart anesthesia as required.
• Manage patient ventilation, volume status, and blood pressure during procedures.
• Place arterial lines and monitor hemodynamics.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists in a medically directed practice, handling a busy surgical schedule including trauma, neurosurgery, orthopedics, obstetrics, cardiac, and vascular cases.
