Requirements

High School Diploma or GED (Required)
1 year of Med/Surg care experience strongly preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered
Knowledge of healthcare laws, infection control, and confidentiality practices
Ability to work independently, multitask, and remain calm under pressure
Computer proficiency and accurate documentation skills
Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift (50 lbs.), and assist with patient mobility
Manual dexterity for patient care tasks
Visual and auditory acuity to monitor patients and respond appropriately

Associate degree (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Assist patients with bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, ambulating, and feeding
Support patient admissions/discharges, including belongings inventory and audits
Monitor and report vital signs, intake/output, and patient conditions
Provide one-on-one patient interaction and support therapeutic activities
Assist with mealtime preparation, tray delivery/pickup, and feeding if needed
Maintain clean and safe patient environments (make beds, empty bedpans, etc.)
Turn, reposition, and provide toileting needs for bedbound patients
Support patient transportation to tests, therapy, and physician visits
Observe/report pressure areas or changes in physical/emotional status
Maintain accurate documentation and attend required training sessions
Comply with infection control procedures and use PPE as directed
Perform other duties as assigned
