Requirements
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
- Six months of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients or residents
- Active registration as a Nurse Aide in the Pennsylvania Nurse Aide Registry
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required
- You must be able to perform essential job functions
- Conditional offer of employment will require submission of criminal history reports
- Must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements
Responsibilities
- Check vital signs, collect specimens, observe habits, and record accurate health information in logs
- Assist with hygiene, bathing, dressing, feeding, skin care, and daily mobility needs
- Help position inmates, use protective devices, assist with transfers, and follow infection control procedures
- Guide wheelchair inmates to medical appointments, tests, and medication lines
- Receive and provide reports, update electronic health records, and complete daily and monthly documentation
- Maintain a clean work environment, report hazards, sterilize equipment, and manage supply inventory
