About The Position

Riverside's Lifelong Health Earn and Learn Nurse Aide Program is designed to transition new hires from Hospitality Assistants to fully licensed Certified Nurse Aides. The program begins with participants working as a Hospitality Assistant in a labor pool status until a scheduled accelerated 4-week program begins. This program provides the necessary skills and knowledge to pass the CNA boards. Classes require full-time day shift hours, and participants are paid for all course and clinical hours. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the Virginia Board of Nursing – Nurse Aide exam, graduates will move into a full-time or part-time CNA position at the hired location. Full-time CNA positions require a 12-month work commitment, and part-time positions require an 18-month work commitment upon graduation, to be fulfilled in a Lifelong Health facility. Positions in home health or acute care do not qualify for this program. Graduates are eligible for reimbursement for costs associated with registering for the National Nurse Aide Assessment Program (NNAAP) exam.
