About The Position

Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School (CRIPCS) is seeking a passionate and collaborative Nurse Aide Paraeducator Assistant to support students in the classroom and enhance their academic achievement. CRIPCS is an adult charter school dedicated to providing high-quality education, career training, and supportive services to adult immigrants, enabling them to achieve their dreams and contribute to the community. The Nurse Aide Paraeducator/Program Assistant will work closely with the Nurse Aide Training Program Lead and Instructors to support various academic and administrative functions of the program. This includes preparing the classroom/lab, working with students individually and in small groups, providing skills practice, assisting with attendance and test administration, managing certification and compliance requirements, collecting program-related payments, and inputting student data. The role is crucial in ensuring student success and program efficiency.

Requirements

• High School diploma/GED equivalent or higher.
• Certified Nursing Assistant in the District of Columbia required.
• Bilingual proficiency required (Spanish, French, or Amharic).
• Knowledge and experience using Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite, LMS (Schoology), Zoom, G Suite.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple tasks and establish task priorities.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and to function effectively under pressure.
• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Nice To Haves

• Previous related experience a plus.
• One year of experience using Windows, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite, LMS (Schoology), Zoom, G Suite is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Enhancing student achievement by working directly with students in small groups and individually within the classroom.
• Assisting the Instructor in providing skills practice in the nursing lab and preparing students for the state licensing exam.
• Assisting the Instructor in ensuring that each student’s unique learning needs are being supported during instruction.
• Assisting in test administration, review of homework assignments, scoring, and data entry of grades in Schoology and Maestro.
• Providing administrative duties such as bulletin board creation, collecting or passing out papers, and making photocopies.
• Preparing the classroom/lab for instruction and ensuring all supplies, including linen, laundry, and skills practice equipment, are available and functioning.
• Following up with present and past students via telephone, email, or regular mail to ensure compliance with program needs, including attendance, registration, licensing, employment, and data collection.
• Maintaining and inputting all student data in the required system.
• Assisting students with the purchase of supplies, completing applications, certifications, regulatory requirements, and compliance-related documents.
• Monitoring online platforms including Credentia, Pre-Check, MD Sentry, Maestro, and CNA Plus for student account creation, testing schedules, immunization monitoring, NNAAP certifications, and attendance data entry.
• Collecting program-related payments and completing all required documentation.
