This position requires paraeducators to push into classrooms, hour-by-hour, to support students with behavioral needs. This position requires paraeducators to progress monitor behavior, support with intervention plans, provide in-the-moment support to students with an emotional impairment or behavioral issues, and also support other students and general education teachers with the comprehension of the aforementioned behavior plan. Data collection on a daily and hourly basis is required, and the para educator reports back to the EI teacher at all times. Based on other needs of the students on the EI teacher’s caseload, specific assignments are subject to change on a daily basis to meet the needs of students.
