About The Position

The Nurse Aide in Training program is designed for individuals who aspire to become Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs). This program offers trainees the opportunity to gain practical, hands-on experience and receive classroom instruction under the guidance of licensed nursing staff. The goal is to equip trainees with the essential skills needed to provide excellent care to residents in a skilled nursing facility setting.

Requirements

  • Enrollment in or eligibility for a state-approved CNA training program.
  • Ability to follow instructions and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Interest in pursuing a career in long-term care or nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in an approved CNA training program, either provided by the facility or an affiliated institution.
  • Assist residents with fundamental care needs, including grooming, dressing, and hygiene, while under supervision.
  • Observe and report any changes in residents' conditions to the licensed nursing staff.
  • Provide support with meal service, including feeding assistance and ensuring adequate hydration.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents.
  • Learn and apply proper infection control and safety procedures.
  • Assist residents with mobility and comfort, following guidance from nursing staff.
  • Attend all scheduled training sessions and successfully complete all required coursework.
  • Demonstrate compassion, respect, and professionalism in all interactions with residents and staff.
