This position supports patients/residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, feeding, and ambulation. The Nurse Aide I is responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly patient room, observing and reporting changes in patient condition, and orienting patients and families to the unit. This role also assists with clerical tasks such as answering phones, data entry, and maintaining medical records, as well as managing stock supply items. The Nurse Aide I performs duties within the scope of their role as defined by the state Board of Nursing, and may perform technical tasks such as administering 12-Lead Electrocardiogram tests and routine venipuncture after appropriate training. The role requires an understanding of patient population needs across different age groups, cultures, and developmental stages.
