This position supports patients/residents with activities of daily living, including assisting with personal hygiene, taking vital signs, and feeding and ambulating patients/residents according to specific procedures. The Nurse Aide I will also maintain patient/resident rooms in a clean and orderly condition, observe and report changes in patient/resident conditions, and orient patients/families to the unit and instruct them on safety measures. Additionally, the role assists with clerical work such as answering phones, entering data, and maintaining medical records, as well as maintaining stock supply items in inventory management. The Nurse Aide I performs duties as outlined in the scope of Nurse Aide I (per applicable state Board of Nursing Nurse Aide I Tasks List) and may perform technical tasks with appropriate training, such as administering a 12-Lead Electrocardiogram test and routine venipuncture.
