About The Position

Falkbuilt Ltd. is looking for a dedicated team player with excellent technical knowledge and experience to join the Safety Team as the on-site Registered Nurse/Advanced Care Paramedic. Falkbuilt is an exciting Digital Component Interior Construction company headquartered in Calgary. We are a fast-paced, entrepreneurial company that needs a high energy, hardworking and motivated individual on our team. In this role, you will provide a wide variety of medical related / nursing services to Falkers, while taking necessary steps to ensure safety and well-being. You will utilize nursing processes, and improve our safety program through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making. In addition to being available to treat injuries, you will be a contributing member of the Health and Safety team, assisting with day-to-day safety operations company wide.

Requirements

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license with Advanced First Aid certification - or- Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) license.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an RN/ACP.
  • A basic understanding of the Microsoft suite of software.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to communicate in the English language – strong written, verbal and reading skills are required.
  • Must own reliable transportation and be willing to travel between several locations located within SE Calgary.
  • Must love dogs – they are in the office regularly.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a manufacturing/construction setting preferred.
  • Experience in technical writing is considered an asset.
  • Additional languages would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assess employee condition to determine the extent of injury or illness and immediate care needs.
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the leadership team.
  • Collaborate with teams to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate Falkers on healthcare procedures and self-care techniques.
  • Maintain emergency care equipment and supplies/PPE.
  • Assist the Safety team with first aid reporting, WCB management and various other tasks.
