About The Position

Presbyterian is hiring a skilled Paramedic for Albuquerque Ambulance Service. How you grow, learn and thrive matters here. The work shift is varied days and hours.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent required
  • Current New Mexico driver’s license is required without relevant restrictions within 30 days of hire.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age with a driving record insurable per Presbyterian policy
  • New Mexico Paramedic license required NM EMS Bureau
  • Must have current ACLS and BLS through AHA, ASHI, or Red Cross
  • Must be up to date with FEMA 100, 200, 700 courses
  • Must pass physical abilities assessment
  • Must obtain medical examiner certification/DOT certification as part of on-boarding.
  • Advanced level Paramedic requires minimum of 1 year of EMS experience as a licensed Paramedic

  • EMT experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver prehospital 911 emergency care and inter-facility transportation (IFT).
  • Provide prehospital 911 emergency care and/or Inter-facility transportation for injured and/or ill patients within ABC EMS Protocols.
  • Document and maintain accurate medical records for patient encounters through use of ImageTrend Elite.
  • Operate emergency vehicles in a safe manner, consistent with EVOC.
