About The Position

Right Dose Pharmacy, a member of the Guardian family of pharmacies, is seeking a Nurse Account Manager / Vaccinator PRN to join their rapidly growing team in Ankeny, Iowa. This role focuses on administering vaccinations to patients and residents in Long-Term Care communities, ensuring high-quality vaccination services through education, proper storage and handling, administration, billing, documentation, and vaccine safety monitoring. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Appropriate clinical licensure/certification as determined by state regulations.
  • 1+ years of related experience (advanced degree may substitute for experience)
  • Ability to work independently and deliver to deadlines
  • Ability to solve problems with minimal direction
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment working on multiple tasks simultaneously, while adhering to strict deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Screens vaccine recipients pre-vaccine for potential concerns as identified by facility guidelines.
  • Educates recipient and administers vaccine as indicated.
  • Documents vaccine administration using appropriate medical record system.
  • Monitors pre and post vaccination for potential side effects and refers for additional assessment/care as indicated.
  • Collaborates effectively with all disciplines and levels of care regarding patient care.
  • Ensures compliance with various Isolation Precautions and Infection Control Guidelines.
  • Supports vaccine administration sites by responding to issues, questions, and ensuring training, as needed, for new products or changes to products.
  • Conducts face-to-face visits, email, and phone calls.
  • Other essential functions and duties may be assigned as needed.
