Indotronix is seeking a Senior Numerical Control Programmer Level 4 to join our dynamic aerospace manufacturing team in Everett, WA. Requirements

  • 7+ years of NC programming in production machining environments.
  • Proficient in programming 5-axis CNC machines for aerospace applications.
  • Expert knowledge of GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing documentation.
  • Advanced proficiency with CATIA V5 NC programming.
  • Skilled in using Vericut or similar NC simulation/verification tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to create detailed setup documentation and operator instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience designing custom fixtures and tooling for complex parts.
  • In-depth knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes and first-article inspection protocols.
  • Strong process improvement acumen and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Familiarity with additional CAM systems and post-processors.
  • Effective communicator with proven cross-functional collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, verify, and revise Machine Control Data (MCD), tooling geometry, and setup documentation for 5-axis CNC machines.
  • Program NC code for aluminum and hard-metal aerospace components based on detailed engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications.
  • Create and refine machining setups and operational strategies, ensuring accurate tooling, fixturing, and machine selection.
  • Generate comprehensive setup sheets and clear operator instructions to support safe, efficient machining operations.
  • Utilize simulation tools such as Vericut to validate NC programs and proactively eliminate collisions or errors.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize NC programs using first-article inspections, in-process feedback, and shop-floor testing.
  • Collaborate closely with planning, engineering, tooling, and machining teams to reduce cycle times and minimize scrap.
  • Lead the creation of custom fixtures, advanced tooling, and machining strategies for multi-operation workflows.
  • Maintain thorough program documentation, revision histories, and configuration management standards.
  • Operate independently and provide subject matter expertise across the production team.
