About The Position

This position is responsible for supporting the acquisition, integration, qualification, and development of a state-of-the art engineering analysis software toolkit that enables the design and licensing of the next generation of nuclear power reactors. This includes decisions based on business objectives, allocated resources, and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or related discipline from an accredited university or college.
Typically, ten years of engineering experience. Graduate degrees typically count as two plus years of experience.
Experience with analysis software verification and validation (V&V).
Experience in the use or development of analysis software under a heavily regulated quality assurance regime (e.g., nuclear systems design, nuclear safety analysis, flight control software, safety-related industrial controls or similar such as computer software used to control plant SSCs).

Responsibilities

Support the delivery of the following software and services to the engineers who are performing analysis: Internally developed analysis software (i.e., installation files, documentation, testing, user support).
Verification and Validation (V&V) documentation and Commercial Grade Dedication (CGD) packages for all relevant analysis software.
Control and maintenance of analysis software in accordance with the Quality Assurance program which implements NQA-1 and other relevant standards.
Support project managers and leads for development of analysis software.
Support the execution of the project plans for each area.
Partner with appropriate managers to ensure sufficient staffing, resourcing, and recruitment for supporting software services.
Collaborate with appropriate team members to ensure that validation covers the design requirements specified for full code qualification.
Work with appropriate managers to ensure alignment of requirements.
Act as single point of contact for software services contractors.
Support the management of performance, acceptance, and quality assurance of work product by contractors.
Manage execution and periodic updating of the Quality Assurance Program’s (QAP) software procedures.
Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication.
Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
