The Nuclear Engineering Auditor drives quality and regulatory compliance for Waterfront Engineering nuclear products from initial design through construction support and fleet support. The role works with all levels of management across engineering organizations to develop, propose, and execute audit plans, and builds relationships with production and technical communities. Working independently, the auditor reviews source documentation and identifies key attributes to verify during audits. The position requires a willingness to take on new challenges and learn new subject areas. By identifying deficiencies and opportunities for improvement, the auditor develops problem statements that can prompt meaningful change. The role directly influences the annual Nuclear Audit Plan, with opportunities to tailor assignments to the auditor’s skills and development goals. Auditors oversee work across manufacturing and construction, receive training in problem identification and root-cause analysis, and develop a quality mindset. The auditor develops and manages audit plans, presents findings to management, writes engineering audit reports, coaches management on responses, and participates in external audits, inspections, and evaluations.
