About The Position

Flowserve is seeking an experienced Product Leader, Nuclear (Americas) to lead and drive commercial product management for our primary pump and mechanical seal portfolio across the nuclear power sector. Nuclear power generation is Flowserve’s top strategic growth initiative, with a rapidly expanding project pipeline spanning new builds, advanced generation initiatives, and utility plant life-extension programs. Reporting directly to the Specialty & Power Product Line Leader and collaborating with our Global Nuclear Leadership, you will own the commercial roadmap, pricing strategy, margin expansion, and market positioning across North and South America. This is a high-visibility, customer-facing role responsible for navigating complex nuclear regulatory environments (ASME Section III, 10 CFR 50, NQA-1) while driving high-margin aftermarket and engineered replacement growth.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship or U.S. National status is strictly required due to U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) and federal nuclear regulatory restrictions on controlled technology.
  • 10–15+ years of relevant product management, commercial operations, applications engineering, or technical sales experience within the U.S. commercial nuclear power industry.
  • Deep technical working familiarity with engineered centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, and rotating equipment used in nuclear power stations.
  • Proven working knowledge of nuclear codes and standards, including ASME Section III (Div 1 & 5), N/NPT stamps, NQA-1, and 10 CFR 50 / 10 CFR 21.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or related technical/business discipline.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 40–45% across the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute 1-, 3-, and 5-year product roadmaps for primary nuclear pumps, seals, and aftermarket services, establishing aggressive targets for revenue growth, gross margins, and market share.
  • Act as the designated Americas leader managing proprietary and U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) controlled-technology equipment, specifications, and project bids.
  • Define market-level pricing, lead times, target costs, and manufacturing footprint strategies in coordination with Sales, Commercial Operations, and Quick Response Centers (QRCs).
  • Drive specialized solutions for nuclear utility plant life extensions, power uprates, retrofits, and critical outage parts.
  • Partner with Regional Sales to conduct customer site visits (40–45% travel), build technical intimacy with utility plant engineers, and deliver advanced technical training.
  • Ensure all commercial offerings, technical definitions, and project charters align with ASME Section III (Div 1 & 5), N/NPT certifications, 10 CFR 50 Appendix B, and NQA-1 quality programs.
