Nuclear Planner Scheduler
About The Position
WECTEC Staffing Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company LLC, is seeking a Nuclear Planner Scheduler for a 1-year contract assignment in Jupiter, Florida. This role is crucial for the strategic planning, sequencing/scheduling, and documentation of projects and operational work within a nuclear power plant. The Nuclear Planner Scheduler will interface with various plant departments to ensure task completion while adhering to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and operational schedules. This role involves attending Site/Fleet Online/Outage and other meetings to represent the department.
Requirements
- Experience in nuclear power plant planning and scheduling
- Ability to create clear and concise work instructions
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Ability to review and interpret Engineering Change implementation requirements
- Experience conducting field walkdowns
- Ability to coordinate with various plant departments (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering)
- Experience supporting testing of planning and scheduling applications

- Mentorship experience with junior planner schedulers
Responsibilities
- Plan and organize projects activities for plant equipment and systems
- Create clear and concise work instructions that are sequenced in a logical, efficient manner
- Ensure work instructions are performed in accordance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
- Review and interpret Engineering Change implementation requirements
- Conduct field walkdowns to identify and analyze corrective issues, modification, and surveillance activities
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and support departments on work instruction requirements
- Support required testing of updates to new and existing planning and scheduling applications
- Supports all of the nuclear sites
- Takes on lead planner role
- Provides mentorship to junior planner schedulers
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
