This full-time Nuclear Medicine Technologist role is based at Bloomington Hospital. The schedule is Monday – Friday, 7a–3:30p, with no weekend call. The technologist will join a collaborative team of two additional Nuclear Medicine Technologists and a Radiology Assistant. Familiarity with PET/CT is a plus, and new graduates are encouraged to apply. Sign-on bonus available to eligible applicants! Performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures involving the use of radiopharmaceuticals to perform body function studies, organ imaging, and analyze biologic specimen. Demonstrates the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through geriatric. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Requires a strong understanding of the handling of radiopharmaceuticals during the receipt; storage; administration; and disposal process. Requires knowledge of proper laboratory procedures and a strong understanding of all hospital; state and federal policies and regulations regarding the handling of radioactive materials; hazardous chemicals; and body fluids.
