About The Position

Nuclear Medicine Technologists prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive materials) to detect and treat disease under the supervision of a physician. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides patient care and technical skills in the operation of nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. Requirements

Must have a combination of NMT and CT certification.
NMTCB and CT; NMTCB and ARRT (CT); ARRT(N) and ARRT (R) or (CT); NMTCB and ARRT (R)
2 years of experience required.
BLS is required.
ARRT and NJ License required.
Experience in Adult OP clinics and nuclear cardiology.
Experience with GE equipment.
Proficiency in charting using EPIC.

Nice To Haves

Experience with GE equipment.
Experience with gastric emptying, bone scans, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation, captopril, myocardial scans, and SPECT (Bone, Thyroid, and Cardiac imaging).

Responsibilities

Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals (radioactive materials) to detect and treat disease under the supervision of a physician.
Provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Perform diagnostic and evaluation procedures using nuclear medicine equipment.
Administer radiopharmaceuticals for treatment purposes.
Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Operate and maintain nuclear medicine equipment.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations for handling radioactive materials.
Perform procedures including gastric emptying, bone scans, liver imaging, perfusion, ventilation, captopril, myocardial scans, and SPECT (Bone, Thyroid, and Cardiac imaging).
