About The Position

Sentara Obici Hospital, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II for a Flexi/PRN, Day Shift. This role conducts general Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients, within scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. This includes positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology. The technologist is competent in preparation, dose management and administration of radiopharmaceuticals, radioisotopes, operation of radiation producing equipment, operation of the electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment, provides patient and family education and maintains adequate supply inventory. They will explain examination procedure and discharge instructions to patient and completes departmental documentation. This role complies with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation and performs to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by all state, federal, and local agencies.

Requirements

  • Trade School degree in Radiologic Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine (Required)
  • ARRT or CNMT (Required)
  • BLS

Responsibilities
