About The Position

Sentara Obici Hospital, in Suffolk, VA, is currently hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist II for a Flexi/PRN, Day Shift. This role involves conducting general Nuclear Medicine imaging of patients, within the scope of demonstrated competency under the direction of a qualified physician. Responsibilities include patient positioning for correct anatomy/pathology demonstration, preparation, dose management and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and radioisotopes, operation of radiation-producing equipment and electronic radiology systems, preparation of patient room/equipment, providing patient and family education, and maintaining adequate supply inventory. The technologist will explain examination procedures and discharge instructions to patients, complete departmental documentation, and comply with all radioactive activity monitoring and documentation. The role also requires adherence to all quality control and quality assurance standards as prescribed by state, federal, and local agencies.

Requirements

• Trade School degree in Radiologic Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Medicine (Required)
• ARRT or CNMT (Required)
• BLS

Responsibilities
