Performs a variety of technical procedures that require a high degree of independent judgement and initiative in the utilization of radionuclides for the diagnosis and the therapy of disease in humans. This role involves direct patient care, preparation and administration of radionuclides, operation of imaging equipment, and adherence to radiation safety protocols. The technologist is also responsible for maintaining equipment, processing data, and ensuring accurate record-keeping. Additionally, the role includes instructing students and mentoring new hires, as well as contributing to patient satisfaction and adhering to organizational standards.
