About The Position

University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest – Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a FULL-TIME, day shift, RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - NUCLEAR MEDICINE. This is a PER DIEM position with a work schedule of Day Shift; 8 to 10 hour shifts within clinic hours 6:30am-7pm, Monday-Saturday. The role requires 40 hours/week for the first 2 months for training, then averages 2-3 days per week (1 to 5 days per week minimum/maximum). Weekend call is from 7am-3:30pm. The technologist reports to the department supervisor and receives general direction from the supervisor and assigned Nuclear Medicine Lead. Responsibilities include performing complex clinical diagnostic examinations such as lymphoscintography, treadmill cardiac perfusion, and pharmacologic stress cardiac perfusion, and providing expertise to support nuclear medicine clinical services. The technologist will tailor examinations to individual patients in collaboration with physicians and, under general direction, exercise advanced technical knowledge in specific areas like clinical computer application or examination protocol development, providing work direction to others in their area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a program approved by the Joint Review Commission for Nuclear Medicine Technologists (JCRNMT) AND certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine in the State of Washington.
