About The Position

University of Washington Medical Center – Northwest – Radiology has an outstanding opportunity for a PER DIEM , RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST - NUCLEAR MEDICINE. This role involves performing complex clinical diagnostic examinations and providing expertise to support nuclear medicine clinical services. The technologist will tailor examinations to individual patient needs in collaboration with physicians and may provide work direction to others in their area of expertise.

Requirements

  • Graduation from a program approved by the Joint Review Commission for Nuclear Medicine Technologists (JCRNMT)
  • Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board or registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine.
  • Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
  • Certification as a Radiologic Technologist - Nuclear Medicine in the State of Washington.

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex clinical diagnostic examinations such as lymphoscintography, treadmill cardiac perfusion, and pharmacologic stress cardiac perfusion.
  • Provide expertise to support nuclear medicine clinical services.
  • Tailor examinations to individual patient in collaboration with physician.
  • Exercise advanced technical knowledge in a specific area of expertise such as clinical computer application or examination protocol development in the field of nuclear medicine.
  • Provide work direction to others in area of expertise.
