About The Position

This PRN (as needed) position in Nuclear Medicine Technology is located in Winston Salem, North Carolina. The role involves performing Nuclear Medicine examinations under the supervision of a registered technologist, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity. The technologist will also be responsible for scheduling procedures, maintaining records, coordinating with other departments, and assisting with room preparation and supply restocking. A key aspect of the role is ensuring age-appropriate care is provided to patients.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED and current enrollment in JRCNMT accredited program in Nuclear Medicine Technology
• Certified in basic Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)

Responsibilities

• Adheres to the general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.
• Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Assumes responsibility for keeping informed about changes in policies and procedures.
• Participates in departmental in-service and educational offerings.
• Contributes to the overall quality of services.
• Performs or assists in performing quality Nuclear Medicine examinations in a timely and efficient manner while under the supervision and/or direction of an NMTCB registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist, ensuring consistent workflow and high level of productivity.
• Schedules procedures and maintains appropriate records which contribute to the efficiency of department operations.
• Coordinates with other departments as needed.
• Assists with room preparation and restocking of rooms and other departmental storage areas with supplies necessary for patient care and procedures.
• Participates in educational activities to enhance patient care and quality of services provided.
• Ensures age/developmentally appropriate care is provided in accordance with Age-Specific Care Guidelines for the specific age groups served to ensure patient's needs are met.
