Bright Light is a leading medical imaging center dedicated to providing high-quality diagnostic services with compassionate patient care. We utilize state-of-the-art PET/CT technology to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist PET/CT to join our radiology team. The ideal candidate will perform Nuclear Medicine PET/CT scans, ensure patient safety and comfort, and produce high-quality images for diagnostic interpretation. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and excellent patient interaction skills.

Requirements

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology, Nuclear Medicine
  • Certification through the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as CNMT
  • Valid Illinois licensure through Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
  • Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient care practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Willingness to cross-train in CT and obtain certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • PET/CT-specific training or experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and position patients for Nuclear Medicine Technologist PET/CT
  • Administer radioactive tracers according to protocols and safety standards
  • Operate PET/CT imaging equipment to acquire diagnostic-quality images
  • Monitor patients throughout the scanning process for safety and comfort
  • Ensure proper handling and disposal of radioactive materials
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Adhere to radiation safety and infection control protocols
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
