About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine/PET Technologist performs Nuclear Medicine and positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This role is responsible for patient preparation, radiopharmaceutical administration, image acquisition, radiation safety, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality diagnostic images. The technologist adheres to all departmental protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements while maintaining compassionate and professional patient care.

Requirements

  • Current certification in Nuclear Medicine, American Registry of Radiologist Technology (ARRT) (N) or Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
  • State licensure/certification as required.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • Minimum three (3) years of licensed clinical PET/CT or nuclear medicine experience required.
  • Knowledge of radiation safety principles and regulatory standards.
  • Experience with hybrid imaging workflows (PET/CT, SPECT/CT).
  • Proficiency in PET/CT imaging and nuclear medicine procedures.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records, PACS systems, and radioisotope management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • PET specialty certification (e.g., NMTCB-PET) preferred.
