About The Position

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist Per Diem will prepare patients for nuclear medicine diagnostic testing, prepare radiopharmaceuticals and maintain records, and prepare and operate imaging equipment. These duties are performed as appropriate to the ages of the patients growth and development through the life cycle factors (Neonates, Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics).

Requirements

  • Possesses NJ State license in nuclear medicine.
  • Possesses a working knowledge of scintillation cameras and related computers.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with other departments within the Hospital, attending physicians and other hospitals.
  • Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with extremely ill and/or irritable patients.
  • BLS Certification required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
