About The Position

Centerpoint Health—Winchester, part of Lifepoint Health, is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technician to provide diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine services in an acute care hospital. The technician prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and other medications, performs studies according to physician orders, processes data and digital images, and supplies images and related information for interpretation or therapeutic procedures. The role also involves evaluating image quality and instrumentation calibration and preparing images for radiologist review.

This is a full-time position scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified applicants. The position is based at Centerpoint Health—Winchester, a 79-bed acute care hospital.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree required.
• Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine program discipline required.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist by NMTCB, unless grandfathered by the state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications to patients.
• Perform diagnostic studies according to physician orders.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures.
• Process data and enhance digital images using computer technology.
• Provide images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and evaluate instrumentation calibration.
• Process images for radiologist review.
