About The Position

MercyOne Dubuque is a leading hospital in the tri-state area. Services include cardiology, neonatal intensive care, cancer care, trauma services, inpatient rehabilitation, home health care, orthopedics, retail pharmacies, palliative care, outpatient and community services, hospital-based skilled nursing units, and a nursing home. MercyOne Dubuque has been designated a Magnet® hospital four consecutive times. Under general supervision, the Nuclear Medicine Tech performs Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography procedures, assists with equipment calibration, and administers radiation. Patients served range from infants to geriatrics. The PET-CT Technologist plans, organizes, and coordinates daily operations to ensure quality patient care. This part-time position is scheduled for 20 hours per week, five days per pay period, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. There is no call or weekend work. The work areas include General Nuclear Medicine, the Cardiac Center, and PET/CT.

Requirements

Be registered with C.N.M.T.
Possess a current permit to practice as a nuclear medicine technologist from the Iowa Department of Public Health.
Have workflow management experience to optimize scanner efficiencies and PET facility resources.

Responsibilities

Perform Nuclear Medicine and Positron Emission Tomography procedures under general supervision.
Assist in calibrating equipment and administering radiation.
Plan, organize, and coordinate daily operations to ensure quality patient care.
Manage workflow to optimize scanner efficiency and PET facility resources, including the control room, hot lab, and injection rooms.
