About The Position

Rome Health is seeking an experienced and motivated Nuclear Medicine Supervisor to lead the daily operations of its Nuclear Medicine Department in an acute care hospital environment. The position combines clinical expertise with administrative leadership to ensure regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, quality patient care, and staff supervision. The supervisor oversees departmental operations, regulatory readiness, accreditation requirements, and radiation safety processes, and performs nuclear medicine procedures for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department patients as needed.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
CNMT certification required.
Strong knowledge of NRC regulations, radiation safety standards, ACR accreditation processes, and NYSDOH compliance requirements.

Nice To Haves

ARRT (NM) certification preferred.
Acute care hospital experience preferred.
Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide administrative and operational oversight of the Nuclear Medicine Department.
Ensure departmental compliance with Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) standards.
Manage renewal and amendments of the Radioactive Materials License in collaboration with the Radiation Safety Committee.
Maintain readiness for NYSDOH surveys and coordinate corrective action plans when necessary.
Oversee ACR accreditation renewals and compliance activities.
Collaborate with the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to manage personnel monitoring programs.
Develop, review, and implement department policies and procedures.
Supervise Nuclear Medicine Technologists and support staff development.
Perform nuclear medicine examinations in an acute care setting for inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department cases.
Promote quality, safety, efficiency, and excellent patient care standards.
