About The Position

Under the direction of the Chief Technologist/Medical Director of Radiology performs nuclear scanning procedures for medical diagnosis and evaluation as ordered by the patient's attending physician. Develops and prepares film for interpretation, maintains supplies and equipment. Performs other related duties.

Requirements

  • High School graduate.
  • Completion of medically approved school of Nuclear Medicine Technology.
  • Current Florida Licensed as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.
  • ARRT or NMTCB registered in good standing.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills in order to project a positive image of the department and hospital.
  • Good working knowledge of anatomy.
  • Understand principles of physics.
  • Methods of adjusting controls to obtain clearly defined films.
  • Able to set up and operate all types of equipment that will be used in a modern Nuclear Medicine department.
  • Know how to process radiographs.
  • Sufficient knowledge of psychology, patient care, and sterile technique to deal with all types of conditions of patients.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year experience as Nuclear Medicine Technologist preferred.
