About The Position

Performs Nuclear Medicine procedures independently, including the administration of radiopharmaceuticals. Operates within their scope of practice and adheres to certification/licensure requirements for medication administration, equipment operation, and venipuncture. Manages patient flow and departmental activities, ensuring radiation protection practices. Exercises professional judgment to maintain equipment. May perform procedures in other imaging modalities as needed and may have on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Allied Health with a major in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• CPR Certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Nuclear Medicine registry required.
• ODH licensure required.
• ARRT RT ( R) and/or NMTCB required.
• No prior job-related work experience required.
• Knowledge in anatomy and physiology.
• Knowledge of Ohio Department of Health rules & regulations.
• Proficient in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Proficient in Radiology Information System (RIS) and Image Storage.

Nice To Haves

• One year experience in specialized field of Nuclear Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Independently performs Nuclear Medicine procedures utilizing proper techniques and administration of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Works under their scope of practice and in accordance with certificate/licensure in the administration of medications, operation of equipment, and venipuncture.
• Coordinates patient flow and the activities of the Nuclear Medicine department including radiation protection practices.
• Exercises professional judgment in the performance of his/her duties in order to maintain equipment in good working condition.
• May perform procedures in other imaging modalities based on departmental needs.
• May have on call responsibilities.
