About The Position

Nuclear Maintenance Technicians perform all types of mechanical activities by assembling, disassembling, maintaining, and repairing nuclear power plant equipment based on qualification status. This role also performs preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment in order to maintain optimum levels of equipment reliability.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED)
  • Three (3) years of directly related experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Residency Requirement: The position has a residency requirement within 60 minutes from your residence.

Nice To Haves

  • Five (5) years’ work experience dealing directly with mechanical, welding/pipe fitting, rotating equipment, HVAC, or valve maintenance related activities
  • Two-year technical school degree, or equivalent experience or training (e.g. military)
  • CNC machining skills and experience
  • HVAC experience, with Universal EPA certification
  • Demonstrated proficiency utilizing advanced computer skills
  • Demonstrated experience with, and support of, following safety processes administrative procedures and technical procedures
  • Proven instrumentation/ electrical aptitude.
  • Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated effective analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to deliver superior results within allocated time through effective prioritization, scheduling, planning
  • Demonstrated the ability to work as part of a team, be a self-starter, exercise flexibility, and take personal
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing processes, regulations, responsibilities, and work environments

Responsibilities

  • Perform all types of mechanical activities by assembling, disassembling, maintaining, and repairing nuclear power plant equipment based on qualification status.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance for plant equipment in order to maintain optimum levels of equipment reliability.
  • Meet the minimum ANSI requirements for this position identified within the scope of undefined.
  • Use weight rated equipment, with max ratings ranging from 275lbs to 325lbs.
  • Successfully pass the Power Plant Maintenance Positions Selection System (MASS) test.
  • Successfully pass basic Maintenance Training.
  • Gain and maintain nuclear access.
  • Obtain Respirator Clearance/SCBA.
  • Adhere to mandatory hearing protection program.
  • Pass Nuclear Pre-Access Drug Screen.
  • Perform Emergency Response Organization (ERO) duties when minimum requirements are met.
