About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking a Mechanical Engineering intern for the summer of 2027 to support the Maintenance Support Engineering group at North Anna. The intern will collaborate with Operations and Maintenance personnel on developing maintenance strategies and troubleshooting mechanical components such as pumps, valves, and heat exchangers. Additionally, the intern will assist with refuel outage planning for motor-operated valves (MOV), air-operated valves (AOV), and check valves. Field work opportunities may include internal inspections of valves and heat exchangers, supporting valve and pump packing, and exposure to vibration monitoring.

Requirements

Must be currently enrolled in an ABET accredited Bachelor's degree program majoring in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
Must have a GPA of 3.0 or above
Must have a graduation date of fall 2028 or later
Experience with Microsoft Office products is desired.
Must be able to follow instructions and be a team player.
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid engineering skills, commensurate with grade level.
Good communication skills, technical writing skills, and computer skills.
An inquisitive nature, an ability to follow written and verbal directions, and strong professional ethics.

Responsibilities
