NPT Materials Project Management

Applied Materials•Austin, TX
•$88,000 - $121,000

About The Position

Applied Materials is hiring for a role leading material readiness, supply continuity, and execution alignment for ALD NPT/NPI programs. The position provides executive-level visibility into supply risks, shortages, mitigation strategies, and recovery plans, helping ensure realistic program execution and customer commitments. It leads Materials Core Team activities and drives accountability through matrix management of buyers, planners, production control, and sourcing organizations. The role works closely with Engineering and TPM teams to align bill-of-material readiness, engineering changes, and execution milestones with operational capability. The position is the primary operational escalation owner for critical supplier, material, and execution issues affecting ALD NPT programs. It leads supplier shortage reviews, recovery planning, and cross-functional escalation management. The role also challenges schedules, recovery expectations, and program assumptions that do not align with operational realities, supply-chain constraints, or manufacturing capability, using data and operational credibility to influence stakeholders. The role requires deep expertise in NPI/NPT supply-chain execution, material readiness, supplier management, and manufacturing operations in a complex semiconductor equipment environment. It leads cross-functional teams in high-visibility, escalation-heavy situations and resolves complex operational and supply-chain challenges through proactive risk management, analytical decision-making, and mitigation strategies. Its work directly affects customer commitments, revenue attainment, operational readiness, and execution of critical ALD NPT/NPI programs. The position is based in Austin, Texas, with travel of approximately 10% and no relocation eligibility.
