This specific technician position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, offering abundant outdoor recreational opportunities. The Keysight Colorado Springs NPI Engineering team is a multi-disciplinary group focused on electrical, software, and mechanical activities. They bridge the gap between R&D and Manufacturing, designing and implementing manufacturing processes for new products. This includes building new product prototypes throughout the R&D cycle to support product development and launching new manufacturing processes into production to enable manufacturing and customer shipments. The team promotes an open environment for innovation, actively supports employee development through mentoring, and motivates for high achievement. Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or NPI environment or equivalent
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • General knowledge of electronics and electronics manufacturing
  • Experience in electronic mechanical assembly including torque drivers
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Windows operating system and Microsoft Office applications including MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, results driven environment
  • Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical issues effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross functional team environment successfully

  • Classroom or work experience using electronic test equipment, specifically Oscilloscopes and Probes

Responsibilities

  • Work in an Electrical Static Discharge (ESD) controlled environment
  • Turn on and troubleshoot PCA’s
  • Build / assemble full instrument prototypes
  • Calibrate and run automated tests on prototypes
  • Troubleshoot and repair prototypes
  • Build, troubleshoot, and maintain test racks containing electronic test and measurement equipment
  • Execute automated performance characterization tests on prototypes at temperature and humidity and collect characterization data
  • Help to maintain the NPI Lab environment
