About The Position

We are seeking an NPI Technician to play a key role in transferring products from R&D to production in a complex electronic systems environment. You will contribute directly to product industrialization by ensuring a smooth transition to manufacturing while supporting production startup activities. This position combines hands-on technical product work with the development and structuring of manufacturing methods. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the introduction of new products into production while collaborating closely with both Research & Development and Operations teams.

Requirements

  • Technical College Diploma (DEC) in Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI), industrialization, or product transfer to production.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • French required. A good knowledge of English is necessary for reading specialized/scientific documentation not available in French and for using specialized software available only in English.
  • Hands-on and practical approach; ability to bridge engineering and production; structured and detail-oriented mindset; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience assembling complex systems (significant asset).
  • Knowledge of an ERP system (Business Central, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) (asset).
  • Knowledge of testing, validation, or automation (asset).

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the assembly of complex electromechanical prototypes.
  • Write and structure work instructions (procedures, assembly documentation).
  • Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) within an ERP system.
  • Train and support production teams during product introductions.
  • Design, assemble, and validate production test stations.
  • Produce assembly schematics (wiring, stations, test benches).
  • Write test procedures.
  • Collaborate with R&D to translate requirements into testable production methods.
  • Train users (production and test personnel).
  • Participate in test automation initiatives (depending on the technical environment).
  • Provide technical support during production startup and troubleshooting activities.
  • Manage Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and revision control.
  • Develop quality tools (checklists, procedure validation tools).
