As a New Product Introduction (NPI) Sourcing Manager, you will serve as a strategic leader in technical sourcing and supplier relationship management for HPE Networking's most innovative products. Your role will involve driving cross-functional collaboration, ensuring supply chain resilience, and championing operational excellence to deliver HPE Networking’s four Strategic Pillars Products. Within the Supplier Management and Procurement (SM&P) team, you will embed a strategic sourcing approach to impact business objectives, including technology and product improvements, and problem resolution. Collaborating with Engineering, Program Management, and SM&P teams, you will influence suppliers and excel in negotiations to ensure quality and timely delivery. You will take ownership by supporting, leading, and managing the early engagement of key suppliers. This includes leading NPI project cost targets, identifying and mitigating cost and schedule risks during development, and ensuring a smooth transition to volume manufacturing. You will work closely with Global Commodity Managers (GCM) to align sourcing activities and objectives with commodity strategies, driving business leverage and early supplier engagement in new product development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, program management, networking, or related experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or similar field.
  • Demonstrated experience in the semiconductor or high-tech industry.
  • Proven success leading new product introduction (NPI) projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience using digital sourcing tools and managing supplier performance and risk.
  • Strong communication skills in English and the local language.
  • Knowledge of procurement and sourcing processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient with business applications and tools.
  • Understanding compliance and company policies.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead early supplier engagement and technical sourcing for new product programs, ensuring access to cutting-edge technologies and components.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Program Management to identify and qualify suppliers capable of supporting advanced product requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement and adoption of new sourcing strategies, tools, and digital platforms to accelerate time-to-market.
  • Serve as the primary sourcing focal point in NPI core teams, ensuring supplier performance aligns with customer expectations for quality, responsiveness, and delivery.
  • Proactively manage supplier relationships to resolve issues, mitigate risks, and ensure reliable supply for critical customer programs.
  • Gather and act on feedback from internal and external stakeholders to improve sourcing processes and outcomes.
  • Ensure supplier compliance with HPE metrics (Technology, Quality, Responsiveness, Delivery, Cost, Geo-diversification, BCP, Cybersecurity).
  • Lead the Materials List Review (MLR) process and manage component-level cost and schedule impacts for assigned NPI programs.
  • Drive accountability for on-time delivery through clear escalation paths and leadership engagement.
  • Champion supplier compliance with HPE’s sustainability and Net Zero Carbon initiatives, ensuring responsible sourcing and environmental stewardship.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to implement sustainable practices and contribute to HPE’s Living Progress goals.
