About The Position

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an NPI Engineer within its Yield Enhancement organization to drive setup and qualification of new products across manufacturing nodes. The engineer collaborates across the organization, partnering closely with Product Ops, Manufacturing, Fab Engineering, and PIE to ensure successful product introductions. The role reports to the Section Leader of the NPI One team and manages the full NPI lifecycle, from initial silicon input through customer sample and qualification lot delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline.
• A minimum of 3–5 years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Familiarity with SAS or similar MES systems, such as GPM, eSpec, or YMS, is an advantage.

Nice To Haves

• Background in Operations or Integration is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with SAS or similar MES systems, such as GPM, eSpec, or YMS.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end new product qualification and setup, including PIE NPI checklists.
• Lead NPI Pave and customer sample lot movements in coordination with Manufacturing and Product Ops.
• Coordinate critical process step setups, including SD and RMG, and align conditions with Fab Engineering.
• Partner with the Yield Enhancement organization on overarching product management.
• Ensure on-time delivery of customer material.
• Pass data across inline parameters, pMTS spec matching, electrical performance, defects, and yield.
• Achieve Corner Splits and reliability screening for specific lot types.
• Manage the full NPI lifecycle, from initial silicon input to customer sample and qualification lot delivery, for multiple products.
