About The Position

As part of the Supply Chain New Product Introduction team, the NPI Sourcing Lead works on-site in Burnsville, MN, driving sourcing strategy to support commercial, government, and space programs from development through entry into service. This role interfaces with suppliers and cross-functional teams and owns all supply chain and procurement activities during the development phase.

Requirements

  • University Degree and less than 2 years prior relevant experience
  • Prior exposure to supply chain
  • Experience working in a cross-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Operations, or related field
  • Certification completed or in progress (C.P.M., CPIM, or PMP)
  • Experience in matrixed, cross-functional environments
  • Experience with project coordination
  • Experience using ERP systems (e.g., SAP) for procurement or planning
  • Working knowledge of supply chain and procurement practices
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to communicate across organizational levels
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadline

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the supply chain focal point for the value stream
  • Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) supply chain activities from target definition through entry into service
  • Issue Requests for Proposal (RFPs), source from approved suppliers, manage purchase orders, and ensure on-time delivery aligned with NPI schedules
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, and risk mitigation strategies to support development timelines
  • Lead supplier selection activities for NPI programs
  • Manage and track bill of materials (BOM) to meet cost and schedule targets
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships to ensure performance, quality, and delivery expectations are met
  • Review and release design drawing packages to suppliers
  • Initiate and manage Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) with prospective suppliers
  • Drive early supplier involvement in collaboration with engineering and design teams
