About The Position

This position is for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) specializing in Imaging/Radiology. The role is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position with a mix of outpatient (75%) and inpatient (25%) settings. The assignment is for 6 months to cover a gap. The facility is a hospital with approximately 450 beds, serving patients from young adults through the elderly. The average patient volume is 8-10 patients per day. The schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, with 8-hour shifts. There is no call, rounding, or admissions required. Two locum providers may be considered for coverage. The APP will independently perform fluoroscopic studies after training and credentialing, perform final interpretations, and sign reports. They will work with radiologic technologists for fluoroscopy equipment assistance and perform modified barium swallow studies collaboratively with Speech-Language Pathology. A supervising radiologist will provide oversight and conduct random chart audits. Radiology physicians will offer training and proctoring as needed.

Requirements

  • APP – PA or NP.
  • BLS from AHA or American Red Cross – Required.
  • Epic EMR experience.
  • Must be able to obtain required privileges and complete credentialing.
  • Documentation of at least 100 representative patients/procedures from the previous 24 months.
  • Case list must include diagnosis/procedure, date, and facility where performed.
  • At least 5 completed procedures of each required procedure type within the previous 24 months.

Nice To Haves

  • Single-contrast barium enema.
  • Air-contrast barium enema.
  • Washington license not currently required for submission ; this may change depending on the start date and credentialing timeline.
  • Proctoring may be available for candidates who need additional procedure experience for credentialing.
