About The Position

This position involves an NP/PA utilizing advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The role emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention, caring for patients from newborn to elderly. The Orthopedic department is a team-focused, collaborative group that embraces learning while treating a wide variety of patients. The department has 15 Physicians, 12 APC’s and 35 Additional Staff Members. The ideal candidate will have a background in Orthopedics and Trauma. This is a primarily hospital-based practice with 6 days of hospital coverage from 6 am-4 pm, Sunday through Friday. It includes approximately 30 patients/day on inpatient census and 18 hours of clinic visits per week, with rotating trauma call coverage. Hired candidates may be eligible for additional compensation through bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.

Requirements

  • NP: Current licensure as a registered nurse in appropriate state.
  • NP: Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in appropriate state.
  • NP: Current certification in CPR.
  • NP: National certification in applicable area.
  • NP: Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.
  • PA: Current licensure as a physician assistant in appropriate state.
  • PA: Current certification in CPR.
  • PA: National certification.
  • PA: Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts 18 hours of clinic visits per week.
