This position is for an NP/PA in Orthopedic Trauma, working 1.0 FTE in Duluth, MN. The role involves utilizing advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The Advanced Practice Clinician provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention, and may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly. The position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. The Orthopedic department is a team-focused, collaborative group that embraces learning while treating a wide variety of patients. The department consists of 15 Physicians, 12 APC’s, and 35 Additional Staff Members. The ideal candidate will have a background in Orthopedics and Trauma. This is primarily a hospital-based practice with 6 days of hospital coverage from 6 am to 4 pm, Sunday through Friday. It involves approximately 30 patients per day on inpatient census and 18 hours of clinic visits per week, with rotating trauma call coverage. Hired candidates may be eligible for additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
