An Advanced Practice Provider (APP) utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, working independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. APPs provide health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age as noted in age-related category and area of expertise. This position requires a high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others. The APP will assist patients by utilizing a strong team-based approach to care, with a high integration of APPs and MDs for the clinic, and inpatient and dialysis units for all 3 phases of nephrology care. The role involves joining a team of 3 APPs and 4 MDs. The ideal candidate does not need to live in the Duluth area; the candidate could live in Ashland or Hayward, WI, or Virginia, MN, as there is travel involved with this position. The role includes assisting physicians with non-encounter work.
