The role operates within a collaborative model, working with residents, fellows, attendings, and staff to care for outpatient clinic patients. The individual will work under the supervision of a Medical Director or approved staff physician, in conjunction with PCCs, staff nurses, and discharge coordinators. Key responsibilities include planning, implementing, and evaluating medical and nursing care, assuming responsibility for primary and urgent medical management, emergency stabilization of critically ill patients, teaching residents and medical students, staff development and education, patient education, and discharge planning.
